Just do it!

Just do it! Just do what you ask? Just share the Gospel! You say but Mitch, that is not my calling. I am not gifted in that regard. That is not true my friend. It is your calling! If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you have been called and equipped to share the good news. While it is true that not every Christian is called to be a pastor or an evangelist or to serve the Lord in full time ministry working at a church, we are all called to go out and share the Gospel. We have all been commissioned by our Lord to proclaim the Gospel.

Do not let anything or anyone hold you back. It is not about your ability, but your availability. Will you make yourself available for the Lord to be used by Him in a powerful way to share the Gospel? It is not about having all the degrees or the schooling. It is not about how old or young you are. It is not about what you look like or what you have done. It is not about how many years you have been a Christian. It is not about you. What it is about is your obedience. Will you or will you not be obedient to go out and share the Gospel? That is the question as Christians we are faced with every day. God provides the opportunities, but will we take them? God has equipped us, but will we choose to put one foot in front of the other and just do it?

Consider the words of the apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 1:7:

“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”

We have no reason to fear when we share the Gospel. We can depend on His mighty power for strength. We can let His love shine through us. We can have sound minds that are fixed on Him and who He is. He is always with us. So, just Nike it! Just do it! The God of peace will be with you always. I love you guys. Have a blessed week!
