Go share the Gospel!

While we are stuck at home, we like to talk about what we are looking forward to doing again once we are past Covid-19.  Everything ranging from going to Disney World, to attending a favorite sporting event to going shopping at the mall, and much more.  I wonder something though, does sharing the Gospel wherever we go and to whomever we meet make the cut as well of things we want to do once we are no longer quarantined?

If you’re like me, you are chomping at the bits to do many things once we can be out and about, and one of the main things on my list is to be able to share my faith when given opportunities to do so.  Maybe you were very intentional about sharing your faith before Covid-19 arrived, and now you can’t wait to do it again.  Maybe however, that was not what you were doing before Covid-19.  Either way, I’m reminded of something that I heard a preacher friend of mine say one time: “If not you, then who? And if not now, when? “

God has called you and I to go to the highways and byways, over the hills and everywhere, to go share the Gospel.  We have a divine responsibility and command from the Lord to share our faith, may we do so wherever we can and to whomever we can!

The Bible says in Matthew 28:18-20:

“Then Jesus came to them and said, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

I don’t know about you, but I miss being able to go to a bunch of places and have opportunities to preach the Gospel where there are lots of people.  As soon as we out from under this Covid-19 and we can then physically travel to events, shopping centers, etc.  I challenge you as I challenge myself to be more intentional than ever before about sharing the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  With all this being said, understand that God is not limited and hindered as we are by this vicious virus.  Be alert and open to any opportunities that He may present to you even being stuck at home as we can also take advantage of social media as we chat with friends and family who might not know the Lord.

Go share the Good News!
