An all encompassing faith

It is not enough to simply be a Christian in name only. Being a Christian must permeate and saturate every area of my life, including having an impact on the choices that I make every day. We all make choices, and those choices stem from what we believe. The person who I vote for in the next upcoming presidential election will be directly based upon my biblical convictions and beliefs. Our faith must guide our decisions. We must have an “all-encompassing” faith which encompasses every area of our lives not just on Sunday morning in Sunday school or listening to the pastor preach. My faith does not just guide me on Sunday, but Monday-Saturday as well.

Are you following me? My faith must guide me in the music I choose to listen to. In the clothes that I wear. In the friends I surround myself with. In deciding whether or not homosexuality is a sin. In whether or not abortion is murder and is it a woman’s right or will I be pro-life? These and many other choices must be guided by our faith. My faith must guide my decisions.

I will never understand a Christian who believes wholeheartedly in the Bible and what it says and then proceeds as an example to vote for a candidate who is about as far away from adhering to biblical principles as it gets…. or approving of a lifestyle that does not glorify God in any way, shape, or form but oh by the way they will tell you they agree with the Word of God cover to cover. It just does not make sense. What does make sense is letting our faith guide our decisions. It must. We simply cannot afford for that not to be the case.

Psalm 32:8 says- “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My loving eye on you.”

God promises right here to lead us. To teach us. To guide us. The question is, will we follow? Will we submit to His leading in each and every area of our lives? May that always be the case! Have a blessed day my friends! I love you all. God bless.
